Overview

Pride PX4 Mobility Scooter

The Pride PX4 Mobility Scooter is a full-size, heavy-duty four-wheel scooter designed for customers who want substantial weight capacity, outdoor-oriented performance, advanced controls, and a comfortable ride. With a 500-lb. weight capacity, full suspension, 13-inch pneumatic tires, and a manufacturer-rated maximum speed of up to 9.3 mph, the PX4 is built for longer trips and a variety of compatible outdoor environments.

One of the PX4's distinguishing features is its Near-Field Communication (NFC) ignition system. Instead of a traditional ignition key, the rider places or taps the unique NFC key fob near the receiver on the tiller to start the scooter. Pride designed the system to provide convenient operation while adding an additional layer of security.

Full front and rear suspension works together with large pneumatic tires to help absorb bumps and surface irregularities when traveling over asphalt, concrete, gravel, and other appropriate hard-packed surfaces. A high-back memory foam seat, adjustable tiller, full LED lighting package, supplemental hand brake, dual rearview mirrors, and water-resistant LCD console provide additional comfort and control for longer outings.

Two 75Ah sealed lead-acid deep-cycle batteries power the PX4 and provide a manufacturer-rated driving range of up to 23.4 miles per charge. An 8-amp off-board charger is standard. Actual range depends on rider weight, terrain, battery charge and condition, tire pressure, driving conditions, and other factors.

Unlike smaller Pride travel scooters, the PX4 does not disassemble for transportation. With a fully equipped weight of approximately 351.4 lbs. with its standard seat and batteries, it is intended for customers who prioritize capacity, outdoor performance, comfort, and stability rather than vehicle portability.

For customers comparing heavy-duty four-wheel mobility scooters, the PX4 offers a distinctive combination of 500-lb. capacity, NFC ignition, full suspension, pneumatic tires, advanced controls, extended driving range, and customizable seating.

Key Features

500-Lb. Weight Capacity

The PX4 supports users weighing up to 500 lbs., providing one of the highest capacities within Pride Mobility's current scooter lineup.

Up to 9.3 MPH Maximum Speed

Pride currently advertises the PX4 with a maximum speed of up to 9.3 mph, providing higher-speed performance for appropriate outdoor environments.

Up to 23.4-Mile Range

Two 75Ah deep-cycle batteries provide a manufacturer-rated driving range of up to 23.4 miles per charge.

Actual driving range varies based on rider weight, terrain, battery condition and charge level, tire pressure, temperature, and other operating conditions.

NFC Ignition

The PX4 uses an NFC-enabled key fob rather than a conventional ignition key. Placing or tapping the fob near the receiver on the tiller starts the scooter, and the fobs are unique to each unit for additional security.

Full Suspension

Front and rear suspension help cushion bumps and irregularities on compatible outdoor surfaces, improving ride comfort during longer trips.

13-Inch Pneumatic Tires

Large 13-inch pneumatic tires mounted on split rims provide additional cushioning and traction compared with smaller solid scooter tires. Because they are pneumatic, proper tire pressure and routine inspection are required.

Memory Foam High-Back Seating

The PX4 offers depth-adjustable high-back memory foam seating with a 6-inch slider. Current seat options include 18-, 20-, and 22-inch widths, allowing the scooter to be configured for different seating requirements.

Delta Steering Wheel With LCD Console

A delta-style steering wheel incorporates a water-resistant LCD console that provides operating information while keeping primary controls within easy reach.

Full LED Lighting Package

The PX4 includes a full LED lighting package designed to improve visibility during lower-light operation.

Supplemental Hand Brake

In addition to the scooter's regenerative and electromechanical braking system, Pride includes a supplemental hand brake for additional rider control.

Dual Rearview Mirrors

Two rearview mirrors are standard equipment and help the rider monitor surrounding activity while operating the scooter.

Front Storage Basket

A front storage basket is included as standard equipment for carrying smaller personal belongings during travel.
