Overview

ROHO QUADTRO SELECT Low Profile Cushion

The ROHO QUADTRO SELECT Low Profile Cushion combines adjustable air-cell technology with a lower 2.25-inch profile for pressure redistribution, seated stability, and positioning. Its flexible, interconnected air cells conform to the seated surface while responding to changes in movement and weight distribution.

Unlike a standard single-compartment air cushion, the QUADTRO SELECT is divided into four independently controlled sections. The front-mounted ISOFLO Memory Control allows air to move freely throughout the cushion during setup and then locks air within the four compartments once the preferred adjustment has been established. This design provides greater control over front-to-back and side-to-side stability while maintaining the responsive feel of ROHO air-cell technology.

The Low Profile version features approximately 2.25-inch air cells, making it the lowest of the three QUADTRO SELECT profile options. It provides adjustable air support while maintaining a lower overall cushion height than the Mid Profile and High Profile models.

Available in multiple width and depth combinations, the ROHO QUADTRO SELECT Low Profile can be matched to a variety of compatible manual and power wheelchair seating systems.

Key Features

Four-Compartment Air System: The QUADTRO SELECT cushion is separated into four independently controlled air sections. This design allows air distribution to be managed more precisely than with a traditional single-compartment cushion.

ISOFLO Memory Control: The color-coded ISOFLO Memory Control is located at the front of the cushion. When open, air moves freely between all four compartments. Once the cushion has been adjusted, the control can be closed to contain air within each section and maintain the established configuration.

2.25-Inch Low Profile Air Cells: The Low Profile model uses approximately 2.25-inch air cells. This provides ROHO air-cell performance in a lower overall cushion height than the 3.25-inch Mid Profile and 4.25-inch High Profile versions.

Pressure Redistribution: Interconnected air cells provide immersion and envelopment across the seated contact area, helping distribute forces over a broader surface.

Shape-Fitting Air Cells: Flexible ROHO air cells respond to body contours and changes in seated position rather than relying on a fixed foam surface.

Pelvic Stability and Positioning: Locking air within the four compartments can provide additional front-to-back and side-to-side stability while supporting the established seating position.

Adjustable Inflation: The cushion's air level can be adjusted using a compatible ROHO hand pump. Inflation should be set and checked according to the manufacturer's hand-check procedure.

Lightweight Construction: ROHO air cushions are designed to be lightweight and easy to remove from the wheelchair for adjustment, cleaning, inspection, or transport. Actual product weight varies according to the selected cushion dimensions.

Washable and Repairable: The neoprene air cushion can be cleaned with soap and water according to Permobil's care instructions. Small repairable punctures may also be patched using an approved ROHO repair kit.

Multiple Size Options: The QUADTRO SELECT Low Profile is available in numerous width and depth combinations, making it possible to select a cushion that closely matches the wheelchair seating surface.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ROHO QUADTRO SELECT Low Profile Cushion?

The ROHO QUADTRO SELECT Low Profile is an adjustable wheelchair seat cushion made with interconnected air cells. It features four independently controlled air compartments and an ISOFLO Memory Control for managing airflow, pressure redistribution, stability, and positioning.

How tall is the Low Profile cushion?

The air cells are approximately 2.25 inches high when the cushion is unloaded. Actual seated height will vary depending on the cushion's inflation level, selected size, seating configuration, and weight distribution.

What makes the Low Profile different from the Mid Profile?

The Low Profile uses approximately 2.25-inch air cells, while the Mid Profile uses approximately 3.25-inch cells. Both use the same four-compartment design and ISOFLO Memory Control, but the Low Profile provides a lower overall seating surface.

What is the difference between Low Profile and High Profile?

The Low Profile uses approximately 2.25-inch air cells, while the High Profile uses approximately 4.25-inch cells. The High Profile provides greater available immersion, while the Low Profile maintains a lower cushion height.

What does the ISOFLO Memory Control do?

The ISOFLO Memory Control controls airflow between the cushion's four compartments. When open, air can move throughout the entire cushion. Once the cushion has been adjusted, closing the ISOFLO contains air within the four individual sections to help maintain the established configuration.

What do the green and red ISOFLO controls mean?

The green position opens the ISOFLO and allows air to move between the four compartments. The red position closes the system and contains the air within each section.

Can the four compartments be adjusted separately?

Yes. The inflation level and air distribution between the four sections can be adjusted before the ISOFLO control is closed. Setup and positioning adjustments should follow Permobil's instructions.

How is the ROHO QUADTRO SELECT inflated?

The cushion is inflated using a compatible ROHO hand pump. The ISOFLO Memory Control should be open during initial inflation so air can flow throughout all four compartments. The final inflation level is then established using the manufacturer's recommended hand-check procedure.

How much air should be in the cushion?

The cushion should not simply be inflated until firm. Permobil specifies a proper cushion inflation setting that maintains approximately 1/2 to 1 inch of air between the lowest bony prominence and the seating surface during the hand-check procedure.

How often should the cushion inflation be checked?

Permobil recommends performing a hand check daily to confirm the proper inflation level. Air should be readjusted when needed.

How do I select the correct cushion size?

Measure the usable width and depth of the wheelchair seat and compare those measurements with the available QUADTRO SELECT sizes. The selected cushion should fit securely on the seating surface without being compressed by the wheelchair frame or positioned beyond the intended seating area.

Can the cushion be used with a manual wheelchair?

Yes, the QUADTRO SELECT Low Profile may be used with compatible manual wheelchair seating systems when the selected cushion dimensions and seating configuration are appropriate.

Can the cushion be used with a power wheelchair?

Yes. It may be used with compatible power wheelchair seating systems when the cushion size, seat dimensions, and overall seating setup are appropriate.

Is the cushion adjustable after it has been set up?

Yes. The ISOFLO can be reopened and the inflation level or air distribution adjusted when needed. The cushion should be set up again according to the manufacturer's instructions after changes are made.

How do I clean the cushion?

The neoprene cushion can be cleaned with soap and water according to Permobil's cleaning instructions. The removable cover should be cleaned separately. Always follow the manufacturer's operation manual for complete cleaning, disinfecting, drying, and reassembly instructions.

Can the cushion be repaired if it develops a puncture?

Small punctures in suitable areas of the neoprene cushion may be repaired using an approved ROHO repair kit. Damage involving seams, valves, the ISOFLO control, or extensive material failure may require additional evaluation.

What warranty does the ROHO QUADTRO SELECT Low Profile include?

The neoprene air cushion is covered by a 36-month limited manufacturer's warranty, while the cushion cover carries a 6-month limited manufacturer's warranty. Warranty coverage is subject to Permobil's current terms and exclusions.
